President Jimmy Carter discusses Timap for Justice in article on post-conflict Liberia

Jimmy Carter, the 39th President of the United States and founder of the Carter Center, wrote on post-conflict Liberia and the role of community-based justice mechanisms in the Fall 2008 issue of the Harvard International Review. His discussion mentions Timap and its role as a key model for a new, similar paralegal program in Liberia.

President Carter’s article prompted a letter to the Harvard International Review from former Timap intern Heather Sensibaugh, who underlined the importance of community-based structures to rule of law efforts.
